I had heard what brother Thabane said but I needed assurance that I wasn't wrong. I needed someone who I was going to ask again.
I needed them to hear my perspective of view, what Thabane said wasn't the whole truth I wasn't satisfied with his theory. I went to Thando's house, well she wasn't just a friend but a sister from another mother.
I screamed her name as always she came out of the house angry
"Are you crazy you stupid girl?" I laughed with tears forming in the corner of my eyes
"Thando ma T how are you? "
"Some smoke it dry and this clearly shows that you smoke it when it is still fresh and green"
I laughed even more
"I surely needed that laugh hey" she laughed too
"I was on my way to the Spaza shop I want fat cakes I am so hungry mama didn't cook"
"I want them too T I am also super hungry" we walked to the Spaza to get amagwinya after buying them we went straight to her house to drink tea.
"I need your opinion Thando. I have been stressed lately. You know ever since Lizwi left he has never called or texted me. I have been waiting for him to write or call. Why is he finding it hard to communicate with me? Has he seen better people . Sometimes I feel like he has already moved on" she thought deeply looking into my direction . This was the girl who knew me too well like the back of my palm
"I know Lizwi loves you more than he loves himself. I have seen the way he looks at you it is filled with emotions and an unexplainable theory. There could be a good reason why he is not texting or calling just give him a chance and be patient"
"You don't understand how I am feeling right now,what if I wait for him and he comes back with a new girlfriend. I would have wasted my time, do you think I will ever move on if that happens? If this is his demonstration of love then I am sorry it can pass me"
"When he was leaving he asked you to wait for him. Why can't you do him that single thing Gugu?"
"I feel like he is punishing me for not going with him to Cape Town"
she sighed
"Lizwi would never do that to you. You are special to him and he deeply loves you"
"Well I will move on I can't wait for someone who I don't even know if he loves me or not"
"You can't move on Gugu please don't move on"
"Well I will and I can. You know men think that they own us, I won't wait until Jesus comes I'm not crazy"
"Since you have already made up your mind please give him six more months then from there you can move on"
"Yes well six months it is" she accompanied me home her mood had turned sour.
Days were slowly moving he still had not contacted me. I cried in my sleep missing the good times we had together,my love for him was slowly fading away . He had my heart in the palm of his hand.
Two years without communication was slowly tearing me apart I felt like I was holding on into a non existing thing . I got fired at work I had two written warnings for being late. I needed to find myself again, well then there was Dumi he forever sent me flowers and chocolates. I used to eat the chocolates and throw away the flowers
My aunty walked in coming from work carrying plastics
"Gugu how is the job hunting"
"Hhayi Mawe I'm tired of going around being burnt by the sun all for nothing "
"Well you should be independent my child you don't know what the future holds for you"
I laughed
"Well I am going to be The kept wife"
"It never ends well Gugu you need to have a back bone"
"Mhnm I see but I still want to be the kept wife. Mawe you should know by now that working is not for everyone"
" You are just lazy qha,you should go to the Branpark college and apply for Human Resource management I heard it has money. Plus an office job will do you well since you are lazy"
"I will go tomorrow but I don't want to study and stress you with money for taxi and school fees" she smiled
"Do not worry child God will provide be still and know that he is the Lord your God. For things to happen in your life you need to have faith and patience"
"I hear you ma" we went to bed early.
When I left for Branpark the next morning I saw Dumi he was looking good as always,he was wearing a shirt that was shaping his muscles pretty well I was already drooling
"Mthiyane,Mhlungu,Madela, Dubazane cha bayazala abanye omama wamuhle MaNdaba (some mothers are good at what they do)" I smiled
"Uqalile ngomsangano wakho khuzeka Dumisani (you have started with your craziness be warned) you are now boring move away from my way" he smiled I got annoyed by the way he was persistent
"Please Gugu give me a chance I swear I will do whatever you want me to do"
"Like anything that I want"
"Yes Gugu anything"
"I want a man who goes to church like me. Who wants to know God more and more. Last but not least he should never think of having sex with me before marriage"
"I am not saved Gugu but I don't mind going to church with you. Sex is not an issue we can still have it after marriage" I smiled
"Well move it I want to go to Branpark for school application"
"May I please have your numbers"

It was now Sunday well Dumi came to church wearing formal. I walked up to the stage to lead the service I saw him loosening up trying to smile I could see that he was nervous . You could tell that he was new to this environment.
When the service was over I found him waiting for me outside the gate. He took me home carrying my bible. I laughed at him when he told me that he didn't know how to pray he was just imitating the person who was next to him. Dumi was a funny person I liked how we connected well he was not rich he was just a plumber and he was five years older than me.
SIX MONTHS LATER
Our relationship was blossoming each and every day he was the third born, they were five boys only in his family . The older one was a Christian while the others were living a simple life style. Senzo was the last born he was involved in gangsterism we were of the same age. I didn't like him because he was quiet scary. Thando never approved of my new found lover her words were
"Gugu you are so stubborn that you don't want to listen one day you will remember my words and it's going to be late. A man can do anything to get the girl that he wants, I don't trust his reason for wanting to come to church anyway the ball is in your court ".
I brushed off her words, I had fallen in love with Dumi and no one was going to change my decision but I still thought of Lizwi. I decided to wear my long floral dress and took a taxi to Snake park. When I got to his place he had cooked for me .
"Oh God Dumi this tastes nice" he smiled kissing my cheek
"Anything for you MaNdaba, hurry up and it I want us to go and celebrate our 8 months relationship"
"I never knew you were this romantic and I think you cook better than me "
"Really you are still going to see things you haven't seen anything yet " he washed the dishes when we were done eating. He came and sat next to me looking deep into my eyes. "Please kiss me" he said in a husky voice

His breathe escalated he kissed my neck pushing my dress aside. My thighs were bare to him goose bumps were forming on my skin. Within the blink of an eye my dress was already on the floor. I wanted to stop but I couldn't I loved how his fingers were touching every right places without making any mistakes. He took his towel

"Why can't you continue with what you started Zwane?" He smiled
"I will be right back I want to find you ready" I got off his bed oh damn I nearly broke my virginity.
He came back after 10minutes. My man was so handsome, his dimples made him to be more attractive. We took a taxi to the mall we ate at Mike's restaurant I ordered chips I didn't know how to use fork and knife
"Baby are you not going to get steak or ribs"
"Well I am fine I can take them as a take away" he ordered them and told the waitress to put them in the take away box.
We later went for shopping
"Gugu what do you aspire to be in life" I hated that question. I freaken wanted to be a kept wife.
"To be a singer, I love singing a lot hopefully I will get a recording label" he smiled holding my hand
" I am doing this carpentry thing for survival. I hope I will save enough money and get in the logistics stream"
"That would be nice, do you think being a house wife is a bad thing?"
"No, a stay at home wife keeps the house warm and she spends time with the kids too. Again it is important to have something to lean on just in case the husband dies. Do you want to be a house wife baby?"
"No not at all" I lied again.
After shopping we went back home.
When I got home I found Mawe sitting outside the veranda
"ubuyaphi maNdaba uphethe imithwalo[where are you coming from] ?"
I laughed at this drama queen
"Shopping centre mawe I was with Dumi" I got inside the house unpacking my things
"Have you forgotten about about that boy Lizwi?"
"Kahle mawe ungabe usayithinta nje leyo ungincede ungalithi vu lelo gama (don't you dare mention that name)"
"Ngigeza izandla zami ngane ka Phindile, hamba juba bayokucutha phambili" I cried
"Awufuni ukungibona ngijabule,nalowo Lizwi ungibambise elontulo pho mina ngazelaphi ukuthi uyangithanda(you don't want to see me happy, how do I know that he loves me) now you are cursing me. What should I do if he comes back married? Should I cry and move on later ?so my life has to be on hold because of him. Cha ngiyambonga uLizwi he has broken my heart really bad."
"Isala kutshela sibona ngomopho"
"Kulungile aunty (it's ok aunty) There is nothing I can do. I will die and follow mom if it gets hard" she opened her eyes
"Don't you dare say that thing again. Invite him for dinner tomorrow. I want to see the kind of a guy he is"
The following day Dumi came home he was very nervous. They kept on talking and talking aunty was smiling through out dinner. I walked Dumi outside the gate
"Thank you for the dinner maNdaba"
"I am glad you came" he kissed my cheek and went to his place. I kept on waving at him I was acting like a teenager.
Thando ended up accepting Dumi we used to go out just the three of us.
Two years of loving from this man. Dumi was so amazing I don't mean to brag but he was a good listener. I was finally 22. I packed a small bag we were going to Harteespoort for our anniversary. He borrowed his brother's car. We got there after two hours. We checked in, in a guesthouse. We were going to stay there for three days.
We did some canoeing, I was so scared he kept on playing silly pranks. We went to bed early because I was too tired.
He woke me up around six he had already bathed. I took a towel and bathed very fast when I was done. I went back to our room. He looked yummy in his shorts, I decided to wear my shorts too. He looked at me smiling
"Get ready fast we have a long day ahead"
We spent the whole day touring. He carried me on his back on our way back to our room my feet were now sore. When we got to the room he gave me a foot massage
"I am so tired Zwane " he smiled
"MaNdaba you are very lazy" I pouted pretending to be mad
He kissed my neck going down to my shoulders. He slowly removed my shirt brushing my nipples with his lips
"Oh Dumi" he removed my shorts.. his fingers traced my cookie which was already aching, he removed his shirt oh god this man was a walking god. His head was in between my legs devouring me. He inserted his two large fingers I whimpered moving away
"I won't hurt you baby please " I nodded, he tore the condom and wore it. When I looked at his manhood I got scared. He grabbed my waist kissing my neck. I felt him in my entrance I tried moving back wards he held me tightly
"I won't hurt you baby trust me, do you trust me?" I nodded . He entered me slowly and later pushed his whole manhood I felt an excruciating pain I cried

"I am so sorry Gugu please don't cry" I cried he continued comforting me..
